Listening to music on my <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/librem5\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Librem5</span></a> worked fine, but when I tried to get audio in the conference I remembered that my desktop is broken, because of this <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/debian\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Debian</span></a> <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/bookworm\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Bookworm</span></a> <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/pipewire\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Pipewire</span></a> <a href=\"https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1056383\">issue</a> I wrote about.</p>\n<p>I had to ask the other participants to wait, because I'd need to restart my desktop to get sound. Not funny if connected with people partly working on Apple devices.</p>\n<p><a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/workaround\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Workaround</span></a> time: the major problem at the time being in my use case seems to be <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/mozilla\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Mozilla</span></a> <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/firefox\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Firefox</span></a> and <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/thunderbird\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Thunderbird</span></a> leaving sockets to pipewire-<a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/pulseaudio\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>pulseaudio</span></a> open.</p>\n<p>I now run them using <code>PULSE-SERVER=unix:/dev/null <program></code> and it seems they really do not connect to pipewire-pulse anymore and therefor can't leave its sockets open.</p>\n<p>No sound in <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/mozilla\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Mozilla</span></a> apps is o.k. - I can always run <a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/ungoogled\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>ungoogled</span></a>-<a href=\"https://chrichri.ween.de/t/chromium\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>chromium</span></a> if I need a page deliver sound.</p>\n",
