"content": "<p>Now that <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/Threads\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Threads</span></a> has begun the process of <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/Federation\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Federation</span></a> with the greater <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/Mastodon\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> community (and the <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/Fediverse\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Fediverse</span></a> in general), I am seeing more and more instances that are electing to <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/defederate\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>defederate</span></a> from Threads pre-emptively. <br />This means that they are not giving their users the choice as to whether they want to see this content.</p><p>If your Admin has decided to arbitrarily block Threads, and you wish to have access to the thriving <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/community\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>community</span></a> there moving forward, I would suggest looking to <a href=\"https://c.im/tags/migrate\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>migrate</span></a> your account to another instance that is maintaining Federation with Threads. </p><p>You will generally be able to see this information in the "Moderated Servers" section of your instances "/about" page.
