The recipe linked below (which sounds pretty good actually) includes directions for a roast chicken being cooked in 45 minutes. Now that I have access to a very decent forced convection oven I could maybe, _maybe_, see that being doable without spinning the food poisoning roulette wheel. </p><p>But I wouldn't bet on it. </p><p>TLDR - 45 minutes to completely and safely roast a whole chicken is very definitely on the lower end of what I would say is even vaguely achievable with a regular domestic oven. (Speaking personally, I'd double it.
