"content": "<p>A long time ago I had a shaved head, and wore cargo pants, flat shoes and a hoody nearly all the time, while travelling the world. </p><p>I was thinner and younger than I am now, but still had noticeable-sized boobs (it's relevant). </p><p>Frequently throughout that year, and all over the world, I was misgendered by children everywhere, and by older women in public toilets. Totally fine by me, I looked a little like a boy or young man, especially from the back. </p><p>Lucky for me though, my voice and boobs quickly fixed the situation when I turned around and/or spoke. And lucky for me none of the older women I encountered were armed. </p><p>Trans people ought to be safe because they are people. </p><p>But if that's not enough for you, know that bathroom bills will result in harassment of cis women too, and in places where tensions are high, people are armed, and women have been told the transes are coming to rape them, cis women and trans women will die. Trans men who try to comply with the laws will be hounded, outed, and not safe anywhere.</p>",
